To Rick's family:
We have known Rick for a long time, and have not seen him often over the recent years. But when we did see him, he always treated us like best friends. He was one of the nicest people we have known and he will surely be missed. We send our heartfelt sympathy to his family and friends. Frank and Marla Pinney

Terry, Garrett, Gavin, Lindsey,
I'm in shock to read about your dad. He was so young. I remember when Pete's dad passed away in 92. I had to meet Pete in Seattle at his parents house to get things ready before the funeral, and I had forgotten to bring his parents house key. I left it on the table and ran out the door in a hurry. When I had gotten back to our house to get it. I had locked myself out. I was in a panic. I didn't know what I was going to do. I couldn't get to a phone to call anyone. I had to be there in 1 hour, and I was running late. Our neighbors on either side weren't home. So, I ran down to your house and thank God your dad was home. No questions asked he stopped what he was doing and came right over to the house to give me a helping hand. He helped me climb onto the roof and through Marty's bedroom window to get in. The whole time he was so calm, and so nice. Thanks to your dad I made it to Seattle on time.
Your dad loved you guys alot. I know there are no words to take away the pain you must all be feeling right now. (John 14) God says he will go to prepare a place for us. Your dad is out of pain and at peace. Someday you will be together again. Your in our thoughts and prayers.

I feel lucky to have been blessed with the friendship of this man. He taught me and my children how to "ski the backside" at Stevens. I shall miss the twinkle in his eye and the best smile anyone could imagine. Thanks for being my friend Rick.

Terry, Garrett, Gavin & Lindsey,

I will remember Rick for the twinkle in his eye and his easy smile. He always looked as if he had a joke that he was getting ready to tell. Rick was somebody that you felt lucky to know. I hope the fact that he is out of pain and that his body has now been made whole is of comfort to you. Our thoughts and condolences are with you all.
