Sarah Marie Briggs Hansen

1975 - 2018

October 13, 1975 - August 6, 2018 Sarah passed away at home surrounded by the loving arms of family on August 6, 2018 in Snohomish, WA after a long battle with illness. Sarah was born to Roy Oliver and Julia Louise Briggs, in Seattle, WA October 13, 1975 and raised in Mountlake Terrace, WA. Growing up she played violin as a member of the Cascade Youth Symphony and Everett Youth Symphony. She played soccer on the Lucky Ladies. She graduated from high school in 1993 at Snohomish High School. Sarah was devoted to her long-time career with Bartell Drugs, where she successfully managed many stores, winning a Sales Margin Contest in a store that nobody thought it could be done. She loved singing, reading and playing violin. Sarah could not resist shopping for a bargain, refinishing furniture, and enjoyed watching her HGTV. Her true love in life was her daughter, Avery. She loved Avery with all of her heart and every inch of her soul. She cherished nothing more than spending time with her daughter, who was the light of her life. She was proud of all her achievements and the young lady she is becoming. Sarah's pure and passionate way of life was an inspiration to all she touched. Her smile infectiously lit up a room. She had a sense of humor that could get anyone laughing. She was a mentor, an idol and someone you just wanted to be around. Her selfless, giving nature will be missed by everyone she met. Sarah is survived by her daughter, Avery Hansen; father, Roy Oliver Briggs Junior; mother, Julia Louise Briggs; sister, Rebecca (Gary) Hallmark; sister, Caryn (Jerome) Doyle; brother, Roy Briggs III; brother, Robert (Raquel) Briggs; and was a proud aunt to Suzi, RJ, Annika Hallmark and Rebecca Doyle. Sarah left us to join her brother, Joshua Briggs; paternal grandparents, Roy Oliver and Melvin Ellis Briggs; maternal grandparents, Bernard Charles and Joyce Love Koslosky; godfather, Tony deLeuw; great friend, Stacy; and her beloved cat, Eli. A special thanks to her good friends, Alicia, Nan, Bill and Mary and Providence Hospice for all of their help in those last few weeks. Please join us on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Beck's Tribute Center, 405 5th Avenue South, Edmonds, WA 98020. The itinerary is as follows: 10:00-11:30 a.m. open viewing for family and friends; 11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. a service for Sarah led by her brother, Roy Briggs III; 12:30-2:30 p.m. open viewing and reception for family and friends. Feel free to show up at any point in the 10:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. window that day to see her and wish her well on her next journey.
