Beatrice A. Hansen

Beatrice A. Hansen, age 101, of Erie, passed away Sunday, March 29, 2026. She was born in Erie on September 27, 1924, daughter of the late Clarence and Lillian Hansen.

Bea was a 1942 graduate of East High School, where she played the snare drum in the marching band and was part of the archery team. She attended Erie Business Center and first worked for an attorney. Following that, Bea was employed at General Electric Co in Accounts Payable. She worked there for 42 years, prior to her retirement.

Bea was a lifelong member of Grace Lutheran Church and then Lamb of God Lutheran Church. Over the years, she sang in the choir, served on the church council and taught Sunday School for 70 years. Bea had participated with the Erie Philharmonic Singers and was the financial secretary for Erie Civic Music. She was also an avid bowler until her mid 80's and enjoyed going to the Erie Playhouse.

Bea is lovingly survived by 10 nieces and nephews, 30 great-nieces and nephews and 48 great-great-nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Vern, David and Robert; one sister, Roberta; and a life-long companion, Winnie Dahle.

Friends are invited to gather at Lamb of God Lutheran Church, 606 East 38th Street, Erie, PA 16504, on Tuesday, April 7th, from 4 pm until the time of the Memorial Service there at 5 pm conducted by Rev. Kim Hirsch. A private interment will be held at Lakeside Cemetery. The service will be livestreamed by the Church. Arrangements are being handled by the Dusckas Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. Memorial contributions may be made to Lamb of God Lutheran Church.
