Martha (Karuba) Gauriloff, age 100, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on September 4, 1925 in Erie the daughter of the late Frederic and Virginia Karuba.
Martha considered her family her most important job. A devoted wife and mother, she loved tending to her children and grandchildren as well as hosting family gathering. She enjoyed traveling, exercise, and puzzles of all kinds.
In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her husband, David Gauriloff, Sr. and her sons; David Gauriloff, Jr. and Larry Gauriloff; along with brothers, Peter, Mark, Larry, Leon and Kenneth and sisters, Natalie Biletnikoff and Cathryn Karuba.
Martha is survived by her son, Ric Gauriloff and his wife Karen of Erie; daughter-in-law Patricia Flanagan, and grandchildren; Anna Caporuscio (Bryan), Timothy Gauriloff (Karen), Meghan Morton (Josh), Katie Gauriloff and Elizabeth Nesvisky (Alex). Also survived by four great-grandchildren. Martha also leaves many wonderful nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great- nephews, great- great- nieces, and great- great- nephews.
She was the last of her generation and the end of an era.
A private burial was held Tuesday at St. John the Divine cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Interim Hospice, 2206 W.15th St., Erie, PA 16505.
