Clover, South Carolina - Roger Coleman DeViney "Cowboy", 64, of Clover, SC passed away on Monday, March 29, 2021.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, April 2, 2021 at Midway Baptist Church in Clover, SC with Pastor Tommy McFalls officiating. The family will receive friends at the church following the memorial service and other times at the daughter's home, 2940 Legion Rd. Smyrna, SC 29743.
Roger was born on September 9, 1956 in Charlotte, NC. He was the son of Ray DeViney and the late Joyce Crump Spivey. He was a member of Common Grounds Baptist Church of York, SC.
In addition to his father, Roger is survived by his wife of 42 years, Val DeViney, daughters, Tara Evans (Bobby), Sheena DeViney, Jennifer Carpenter, sisters, Jean King, Ann Munsey, brothers, Kenny DeViney, Grant DeViney, eight grandchildren; Joe, Hailey, Hunter, Jaylyn, Cody, Cole, Madison, and Blayze, and two great grandchildren, Lyric and Camoni.
In addition to his mother, Roger was preceded in death by his step mother, Pansy DeViney and step father, Bob Spivey.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Common Grounds Baptist Church, 2964 Chester Hwy York, SC 29745.
