William Boatner Obituary
Jan 22, 1932 - Feb 13, 2018
Bill was born in Marietta, GA in 1932. He moved to Clearwater, FL with his mother and father where he graduated from Clearwater High School and attended the University of Florida. Bill served in the United States Navy during the Korean War as a hospital corpsman earning various medals and citations. After his service in the Navy, he settled in Nokomis where he owned his own plumbing company before retiring. Bill recently had the veteran's privilege of participating on a trip to Washington, D.C. with the Honor Flight of West Central Florida. Funeral Arrangements are being handled by The National Cremation Society. Bill will be laid to rest in a private burial at sea. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Tidewell Hospice, Sarasota, FL.

Bompa, I know there were only few times we saw each other, but family is family. I carry stories along with me that my father has shared. Theres something I didnt do before because at the time I didnt understand what it meant....but thank you for serving this great nation! Last but not least, thank you for passing down your fathers pocket watch to me. Rest In Peace, Bompa! May God Bless you and I love you!

I will always remember Bill going out to eat and always ordering shrimp. His favorite was always shrimp. I will miss him. I enjoyed our electric chairs at Disney World, and the races we had to get to the next place. Thanks to Patti and Paul for the good times. Thanks guys.
