Adler Constant Obituary

Adler Bede Constant, 65, was born March 22, 1952, and passed away June 12, 2017. He was a native of Vacherie. He lived 28 years in Thibodaux and a current resident of McKinney, Texas.

A visitation will be held Friday, June 16, at St. Genevieve Catholic Church from 8:30 a.m. until service time. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Joseph cemetery. In addition, a celebration of his life will be held at Stonebriar Funeral Home in Frisco, Texas, Sunday, June 25, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Kathleen Terrebonne Constant; children, Jason Constant and wife, Faith, Monique Wilson and husband, Joe, and Jennifer Delcambre and husband, Mark; grandchildren, Lainie, Zoe, Miles, and Evan; his siblings, Terry Bergeron (Will), Rickie Constant (Danielle), Jim Constant (Stephanie), and Bob Constant (Wanda); mother-in-law, Katherine Terrebonne; sisters-in-law, Kathy McCarthy and Karen Terrebonne; and nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Percy and Dorothy Constant; grandparents, Adolph and Beatrice Constant and Louis "LJ" and Florence Gravois; and father-in-law, Wilbert Terrebonne.

Adler will be greatly missed. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He worked as an electrician for many years at LaRoche Chemicals in Gramercy and then was employed 16 years at L3 Technologies as an Engineering Tech in Greenville, Texas. His family would like to thank the following for their outstanding services: the doctors and staff at Rena Tarbet Cancer Center, the hospital, doctors, and staff of Medical Center McKinney, New Century Hospice, and friends and family for their support during these last seven months.

In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Kidney Cancer Association.

Thibodaux Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of arrangements.

We met Adler only once but it was long enough to conclude that he was a genuine, sincere and kind person – he is someone who truly left a memorable impression with us.
