Janice May (Jackson) Constant, better known to some as Mrs. “C” passed from this life on January 20, 2026, at the age of 86 at E.W. & Lucillie Cates House in Ocala, Florida.
She was born to Stella May (Wiley) and Warren Noel Jackson on December 9, 1939 in Pittsburg, Kansas.
Janice attended school in Pittsburg until her father moved to a company in Tulsa, Oklahoma where she attended Will Rogers High School graduating in1957.
In 1957 Janice pursued a career at the Tulsa Caterpillar dealership, (later Albert and Harlow) in the accounts payable department. This is where she met her husband, Wayne of 61 years.
After a few years Janice supported Wayne in his career path and they decided to start the process of owning their own printing company. (Constant Quality Printing) They started with a single, one-color printing press in the garage. Before long the printing business was booming and duo went full time with a store front in Broken Arrow, OK.
Around 1968 the Broken Arrow school district administration approached Wayne & Janice about Wayne teaching vocational printing at the high school. The next thing they knew all the business equipment was sold to the school district and the family, Janice, Wayne, and Michele, moved to Stillwater for Wayne to finish his Bachelor’s degree. A year and a half later they were back in Broken Arrow.
Wayne’s desire to be in a head coach position found him applying for head coaching positions, but most school districts did not have a vocational printing class or even any equipment. Skiatook did have equipment. At the time Mr. Helmer was supporting the printing needs for the district. In the fall of 1974 to Skiatook the family packed their bags and went.
Here Janice and Wayne made a successful life for themselves for 48 years. Janice was always by Wayne’s side supporting the wrestling program, farm, or printing business.
Janice is survived by, one daughter Michele Vieira and husband Dave, Ocala, FL, Grandson Major Justin Constant (U.S. Army Retired) of Edmond, Oklahoma. Two Great Grandchildren Jessika Constant and Owen Wayne Constant II, sisters, Eileen Liebold, Lee’s Summit, MO, Jean (George) Hammontree, Laguna Woods, CA, and Joyce (Dave) Williams, Parker, CO. and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.
