Bro. Immanuel Davis was born on November 11, 2001. He was the cherished son of Devona Downceroux and Michael Davis. He was lovingly raised by his stepfather, Gregory Downceroux. Immanuel was also a very loving and thoughtful brother.
Immanuel was reared in St James Parish, where he attended Fifth Ward Elementary and graduated from St. James High School, Class of 2021. He furthered his studies at River Parish Community College, and went on to pursue his dream job as a concrete finisher.
At the early age of eight years old, Immanuel was baptized by the late Rev. Dr. Joseph Coleman Sr. at Buena Vista Baptist Church. He attended vacation bible school, junior choir rehearsal, and was also a part of the Buena Vista B.C steppers.
Immanuel departed this life on Sunday, October 26, at his residence in Baton Rouge, La.
Those left to cherish his memories are his mother and stepfather: Devona and Gregory Downceroux; father: Michael Davis; maternal grandfather: Welman Landry; maternal siblings: Isaiah Washington, Ivan and Ivyon Anderson, and Layla Downceroux; stepbrother: Deontae Downceroux; paternal siblings: Stephanie, Najee, Tabor, Shederick, Christopher, Tanesha, Shardae, Jeremiah, and Nehemiah Davis, Aniyah Jackson, Jahiri Allen, Alayah and Christian Williams; maternal aunt: Anastasia Irving; maternal uncle: Daryl Anderson; paternal aunts: Rosalind Davis and Michelle(Wallace) Bourgeois; paternal uncle: Morris Davis Jr.; devoted girlfriend: Jayla Franklin; bonus brother: Titus Robinson, and a host of cousins, extended family, and friends.
Immanuel was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother: Charlotte Anderson; paternal grandparents: Yvonne Davis and Lester Baker; maternal uncle: Darren Anderson, and a host of other family members and friends.
In memory of Bro. Immanuel Davis's 23 years of life, we are requesting your presence at his homegoing celebration, which will be held on Saturday, November 8th at 11a.m. promptly following the viewing from 9a.m. to 11a.m. The services will be held at Buena Vista B.C. located at 10633 Hwy 18, St. James, LA 70086
