Lawrence Melancon Obituary
Thibodaux - Lawrence Joseph Melancon, 92, a resident of Thibodaux, passed away on Friday February 5, 2021.
He is preceded in death and is now resting in peace with the love of his life and wife of 70 years, Lillie Hebert Melancon. He is also preceded in death by his parents, Pierre and Carmelite Melancon;
Brothers; O'Neil, Roland, Murphy and Alex Melancon. Sisters, Edith "Tut" Guillot, Bernice "Lulu" Matherne, and Tudelle Aupied Galliano; Grandson John Kelly, Jr.; Sons in law, Randy Clement and Dr. Edmund (Bo) Jeansonne.
He is survived by his four daughters, Cheryl Jeansonne, Bonnie Greene (Floyd), Peggy Bell (Randy), and Lana Pennison. Grandchildren, Tracy Richard (Ricky) Brandi Benoit (Mack), Jenna Kelly, Stephen Kelly (Erika), Mindy Franklin, Lacey Clement, Brad Pennison (Megan), Scott Pennison.
Eleven great-grand children, and two great-great grandchildren.
A private visitation will be held at Thibodaux Funeral Home following a private mass and burial for immediate family members.
