Erna Baldwin

Erna Irene Krohn Baldwin, age 97 was born on August 13, 1916 to Charlie Krohn and Martha Kitzmann Barnhill in Houston, Texas. She entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 10, 2014 in Houston, Texas. Erna loved her grandkids, family gatherings during the holidays and cooking, being known for her pot of gumbo. She was a hairstylist for many years. She is reunited with her husbands, Kermit Martin and William Baldwin; son, Bobby Kermit Martin; parents, Charlie Krohn and Martha Kitzmann Barnhill; two sisters, Edna Weiser and Bernice Navarra; niece, Janice Schneider; nephew, Robert Weiser, Jr. and daughter-in-law, Joyce Burks Martin.
She leaves to cherish her memories, son, Jimmy Martin, Sr.; two grandchildren, Jimmy Martin, Jr. and Michelle Young and husband Sean; great-grandchildren, Deanna Pearson and husband Jon, Keith Martin and wife Belen, Michael Sury and wife Tammie, Chris Sury and wife Shelley, Corbyn Young and Casey Young; great-great-grandchildren, Logan Pearson, Molly Pearson, Noah Milek, Daniel Martin and Corinthin Sury; nephew, Cecile Weiser; two great-nieces, Brenda Weiser and Gloria Ashbaugh and husband Jeff; former granddaughter-in-law, Linda Martin and numerous relatives and dear friends.
A Gathering of Family and Friends will be Tuesday, May 13, 2013 from 2:00 p.m. until the Celebration of Erna's life at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest in Woodlawn Garden of Memories.
