Irl was a devoted friend and business associate. As the Igloo buyer at Oshman's during the 80's he truly represented Igloo as a balanced go between serving Oshman's and Igloo with honesty and good intentions. We stayed friends after I retired from Oshman's and stayed in the business, even though we were competitors. Truly a nice guy!

What I would like to say about Irl is what I would hope, someday, is said about me, "He was a good man". It seems like a simple aspiration but is not easily achieved by some. It was for Irl. It was in his DNA. Thanks for the example Irl! I learned a lot from your humility, but not enough. God keep you, pal.

It has been almost one month since Irl left us too soon. There is not a day that goes by that we don't speak of him. It still doesn't seem real.It feels so warm reading all the comments people made of Irl, all consistent-kind, unselfish,loving,giving,loyal...the memories of our "Puppy" are many, the love great. We loved Irl and his family-they too were our family. We hurt with you and feel your pain.We are blessed to have been a part of Irl's life for over 40 years. Anna loved her Uncle Irl and misses him so much. Bless you all, family and friends. We are better people having known Irl.

I only have good memories of Irl. He was a very generous and unselfish person. He was always there for his friends and family. May he always be remembered as a man with much love to give and especially to those in need. He will be missed dearly. My condolences to his family and our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Irl helped me get into the Rep business with J. T. Everett and later we became partners in our own venture, The Walker-Williams Company. The man stood by me in hard times and was a great coach. I never took to retail products so we parted company, me pursuing industrial sales and he consumer. "I" was not in his vocabulary. He was unselfish as a partner and friend. Although I have not stayed close to Irl over the past ten years, I always think of his kindness when I remember him. Irl was/is a good soul and will be well received by his creator. My best wishes to the family, especially Meredith and Shawn and of course Irl II.

Irl was not only a good friend but one of my BEST FRIENDS. The news hit me hard but I know that GOD has a purpose for all of us. My sincere prayers go out to all of his Family and to you Mr. Walker, you had a Great son that loved you very much. Irl was always there when I had a problem, and most of the time he had the right answers for me. He was one guy that was there at the drop of a hat for anybody that needed him. I will miss seeing him when he came up here and at the Pin Oak Horse Show. He would always ask me when it was and what time Debbie and I would be there. Again, Family, we hold all of you in our hearts and prayers. Brother Irl, Rest In Peace, for now you have the wings to soar..........

Irl was a good friend and and a trustworthy business associate. If Irl said it was going to rain, you could put your buckets out, he was that reliable. Will truly miss him and the world has lost a good person.
