Marcia Healy Obituary

Marcia Jeanne Healy
1944-2021
Marcia Jeanne Healy passed away peacefully on February 26, 2021, after a two year battle with cancer.
Marcia was born to Franklin and Melba Wehrle on February 19, 1944, in St. Louis, Missouri. She attended the University of Missouri where she received a BS in Interior Design. While in college, she met her best friend and love of her life, Robert Healy. They were married on August 26, 1967 and moved to Houston in June 1968.
Marcia loved to dance and spent 65 years of her life doing so. She was involved in Girl Scouts as a child and adult. She owned her own residential interior design firm in Houston for 30 years. She loved to play bridge. In recent years she enjoyed working with the Architecture/Interior Design Department at Mizzou, where she endowed scholarships and a lectureship. Marcia, along with her husband Robert, was a member of Second Baptist Church and Live at Five Bible Study Class. Marcia loved and enjoyed life. She and Robert shared a deep love and partnership for 54½ years. She was a loving mommy and grandmommy.
Marcia is survived by her husband Robert, her daughters Jennifer Wood and Allison Jenkins, her four grandchildren, two sons-in-law, her brother and many nieces and nephews.
Marcia's family will be holding a graveside service for the immediate family. A memorial service is planned for later in the year at Second Baptist Church. Condolences may be offered at www.

What a sweet personality Marcia Healy had. She was an `encourager´ in dealing with people. While still children, Marcia and myself (her brother, Bill) went on many tent camping trips and many forest walks together: all over the United States. But when she met Robert Healy in college - I never saw her again, practically speaking! Robert Healy was her first and only boyfriend she had ever dated. She was happily married to Robert. A great sister, friend, wife, grandmother, and Christ Follower. She is sorely missed by everyone who knew her.
