Christopher Charles Bark, 38, of Sandwich, passed away on January 18, 2026.
Chris was born in Houston, Texas to Curtis and Edith Bark on March 18th, 1987. He attended Sandwich School District. He married Sarah (Crothers) Bark on July 2nd, 2016. Chris had a gifted skill in carpentry which led him to connecting with others in the community and working alongside his father at C Bark and Sons.
Chris Bark was a devoted husband to Sarah and a loving father to Seth, Bryce, Owen, Hudson, and Collins. His family was the heart of his life, and his love for them was evident in every moment he shared with them. He never missed a sporting event, cherished family time, and made sure those he loved always felt seen and valued.
Chris was also a compassionate son, brother, and friend, known for his loyalty, kindness, and the warmth he brought to every relationship. He had a passion for fitness, music, and a lifelong love of cars and trucks. His tattoos were a meaningful expression of who he was, a testament to his personality and journey.
Chris is survived by his wife Sarah, sons Seth, Bryce, Owen, Hudson and daughter Collins. Additionally, his parents Curtis and Edith Bark, mother- in-law Teresa Crothers, brother James (Julie) Bark, sister Mercedes Bark, brother-in-law Patrick (Mariah) Crothers and brother-in-law Tommy Crothers. Chris was a loving uncle to multiple nieces and nephews. Chris will also be extremely missed by the family dogs, Thor and Axel.
Chris is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, NeNe, Charlene Ingram, his maternal grandfather, Bob Ingram, his paternal grandfather, Charles Bark, his father -in - law, Thomas Richard Crothers III and his companion dog, Loki.
Memorials may be given to the family to support the children’s future endeavors or to the YMCA Sandwich Branch, 707 S. Main Street, Sandwich, Illinois 60548.
A visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. – 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at Beverage Family Funeral Home, 104 Terry St. Sandwich, IL 60548. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M.
