Robert James Snowden, of Middleburg, FL, died on September 28th, 2015 at the St. Vincent Medical Center, Jacksonville, FL.

Bob was born on January 14, 1954 in Manitowoc, to James & Joy (Fredrick) Snowden. He graduated from Lincoln High School with the Class of 1972 and attended the University of Wisconsin. Bob was an artist that enjoyed his various artistic talents. His many hobbies include growing & creating Bonsai trees, creating & building model train layouts, building military models and a variety of other models. He enjoyed the history of the Great Lakes ships, especially the tug boat Butterfield, on which his great grandfather, David Fredrick was chief engineer. Bob also enjoyed playing his guitar.

Survivors include his father: James Snowden, Middleburg, FL; two brothers: Thomas Snowden, Middleburg, FL; David (Cathy) Snowden; and Cathy's grandson: Calvin Justice, Orange Park, FL; three aunts: Eva Niquette, Manitowoc; Florence Busse, Manitowoc; Alice Hartlaub, Naperville, IL; one uncle & aunt: Terry (Marie) Snowden, Spring Grove, MN, special friend: Nora; his beloved cat: Missy, other relatives and friends also survive. Bob was preceded in death by his mother: Joy Snowden; maternal and paternal grandparents: Clarence (Lucille) Fredrick; George (Eva) Snowden.

A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at First Reformed United Church of Christ, 3613 Waldo Boulevard, Manitowoc. The Rev. Christopher Ross will officiate with burial of his cremated remains to follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society or First Reformed United Church of Christ.
