Eloise Parker Obituary

Eloise Parker
March 25, 1935 - June 8, 2021
Nampa, Idaho - Graveside services for Eloise Ciarsolo Parker will be held June 17 at 1:00 at Coverdale Cemetery in Boise. We would like all family and friends to join us at Ellie's grave, which is only a few steps away from her parents' burial sites.
Ellie passed away in her sleep on June 8, 2021, after an extended illness. Her loving husband, Bill, was by her side. Ellie was a strong and beautiful lady. She always had a smile on her face and decided to make the most of life even with her many serious illnesses over the last sixty years. Ellie contracted polio shortly before the vaccine was available. She also had kidney failure, which she fought for years until dialysis became necessary, and ulcerative colitis, which took its toll. She fought until the end, and that always filled us all with awe. The last few years have been especially difficult for both Bill and Ellie. Living in assisted living during Covid while doing three days a week of dialysis was challenging and exhausting. She was always so grateful for her family and friends and looked forward to their visits. Fortunately, those friends and family could stand outside in all types of weather to visit and bring treats while still observing Covid restrictions. She was blessed to have so many wonderful friends. People were drawn to her sweet smile, kind nature, and the determination she showed to keep going through adversity.
Ellie was born in Weiser, Idaho, to Basque parents, Luis and Phyllis Ciarsolo, on March 25, 1935. Her father moved to America when he was 17. Her mother was an Idaho native and her maiden name was Onederra. The family moved to Emmett, Idaho, where Ellie lived until her marriage to William H. Parker in 1954. They met at the College of Idaho, fell in love, and that was the end of college. They made Boise their home for the majority of their lives. In 2008, they built a new home in Nampa. They joined the Nampa Rec Center and Ellie would use as many of the machines as she physically could. Ellie and her special cousin, Elias Lete, would talk and exercise together.
Ellie is survived by her husband, Bill; her daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Steve Cope; grandson and his wife, Chris and Kristen Cope, and their beautiful daughters Parker and Sierra; grandson and his wife, Kevin and Torrie Cope; brother and his wife, Louie and Joan Ciarsolo; sister-in-law and her husband, Meril and Carol Ebbers; many nieces and nephews, and all her wonderful friends.
The family wants to thank the staff at Streamside Assisted Living in Nampa for all their kind care.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to make a donation in Ellie's name to The Basque Museum and Cultural Center, 611 W Grove St., Boise, ID 83702
