Christopher Pullman Obituary

Christopher Pullman
September 3, 1973 - September 30, 2018
Christopher Pullman, 45, of Nampa, Idaho, passed away alongside his father in a tragic accident while flying over one of their most beloved places, the Owyhee Mountains, on Sunday, September 30, 2018. A celebration of Chris's life will be held Friday, October 19th, at 4:00 pm at Lakeview Bible Church, 1010 W. Greenhurst Rd. Nampa, Idaho, 83686. Funeral Home: All Valley Cremation, Nampa.
Chris was born to Herm and Jan Pullman and raised in Meridian, Idaho. Chris attended Meridian schools, was involved in FFA and held the office of Sentinel, played football, and graduated in 1992, he later attended Boise State University. Football was a huge part of Chris's life, starting out in Optimist football, which Chris still supported as an adult, to cheering on his favorite teams, Boise State and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
In November of 1997, Chris married the love of his life, LeAnn Runkle, at Zion Lutheran Church in Nampa, Idaho. During their almost 21 years of marriage they created a beautiful family beginning with Anna (14), Sarah (11) and Katelyn (6). These three young ladies brought so much joy to Chris's life, just talking about them made him smile with pride. The kid's activities were top priority to Chris. His own interpretation of the "Patty-Cake" song was a hit amongst all the kids in the family, along with the little dance he did as he sang it.
Throughout his adult life Chris held jobs in sales with multiple companies until finding his passion in the insurance industry with Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Company of Idaho. Chris thoroughly enjoyed the people that he worked with, they became like family to him. In the last year LeAnn joined him as his Production Assistant, helping him to manage his many clients.
When Chris was not working you could usually find him out exploring the back roads of Idaho with family and friends. Some of his most favorite places were the Owyhee Mountains, or the "awesome" Sawtooth Mountains (Chris's words). Chris knew the mountain areas like the back of his hand beginning as a young boy, hunting and camping with his dad and other family members to outdoor adventures with his brother-in-law, Jason.
This knowledge came in handy as Chris was a huge part in planning the annual "Cousin's Trips" with LeAnn's brothers and cousins. These were a highlight of their year. These weekend trips covered many hundreds of miles, with a different destination each of the 17 years. Some of Chris's favorites included conquering the McGruder Corridor, Elk Summit, Jarbidge (which they had to do twice since Chris got them lost the first time), and Crutcher's Crossing. A couple of years ago they took their jeeps and land cruiser down to Moab and had the time of their lives. The trip this year followed the Lewis & Clark Lolo Trail, covering over 900 miles. The memories this group made will be carried with them forever.
Chris developed his love for classic cars from his dad and they attended numerous car shows together. In the past few years Chris had been working on rebuilding a '75 International Scout as well as being proud of his latest purchase, a '96 Ford Bronco.
Chris is best known by others for his fun-loving personality and his contagious laugh. When you met Chris, you became an instant friend.
Chris is survived by his wife and best friend LeAnn, his girls, Anna, Sarah, and Katelyn Pullman, Hannah and Emily Berry; his mother Janice Pullman; sister Heidi Pullman Berry; brother-in-law Jason Berry; brother Kory and Cathi Everts, their children, Nicole and Jonathon Hjelmervik, and children, Dillon and Amanda Everts and children; loving in-laws, Rex and Debra Runkle, Eric and Jennifer Runkle, Adam and Mercedes Runkle and nieces and nephew, Megan and Samantha Runkle, Natalie, Bradley and Roslyn Runkle; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Chris's father, Herm, passed away with him in this tragic accident and he was also preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents.
In lieu of flowers, the family has set up an account to help his wife and daughters with necessary financial burdens as well as future education costs for the girls, https://www.gofundme.com/chris-pullman-memorial or a scholarship program set up by his wife and daughter for financial assistance (through Zion Lutheran Church, 404 Nectarine, Nampa, Idaho, 83686) for young campers to attend Camp Perkins Lutheran Church camp near Stanley Idaho, a favorite place of Chris's.

I had the opportunity to work with Chris, mostly via email and phone, from the Farm Bureau Home Office. He was a wonderful person and I enjoyed our conversations. He will be missed by so many. Condolences and best wishes to his family and close friends.

Chris was one of my high school classmates. Just looking over the Yearbook photos brought back memories. I think I can still remember him wearing his blue and gold football uniform. He might have been involved with Young Life and I took classes with him. One of a kind.

LeAnn, Anna, Sarah, Katelyn & Family,

I just want to express my sincerest sympathies to all of you during this very difficult time. Although I didn't know Chris very well, I did get to know the girls through art camp, and most recently this year having Anna in Photography class. I could tell what an amazing family the girls came from by their fun loving personalities. Keeping you all in my prayers for peace and healing and wishing you all the very best as you try to carry on without your father, husband, uncle, brother, cousin and son in your lives.
