Charles Pullman Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Sly Family Funeral Home on Jan. 9, 2026.
Charles "Chuck" M. Pullman, age 61, of Middlefield, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2026.

Chuck was born on July 27, 1964, in Garfield Heights, Ohio, to the late Charles Pullman and Stephanie (Kodek) Pullman. He was a 1984 graduate of Cardinal High School.

Chuck had a deep love for sports, especially coaching. He formally served as Varsity head coach for Cardinal High School girls fast-pitch softball teams and was also an assistant coach for Chardon High School softball. In recognition of his dedication and leadership, he was voted Coach of the Year in the Chagrin Valley Conference and led his teams to several championships. He also coached football at Cardinal and Aurora High Schools.

An avid sports fan, Chuck proudly supported Cleveland sports teams and was a devoted Ohio State Buckeyes fan. Outside of sports, he enjoyed tinkering with cars and was a true motorhead. Chuck was employed at FUCHS Lubricants Co. and Duraman Marine in Hiram.

Chuck will be deeply missed by his family, including his brother, Timothy (Lynette) Pullman of Sagamore Hills; sisters Jeanine (James) Smith of Hubbard and Christine (Arthur) Hotes of Medina; nieces Jami (Dylan) Napier and Madison Hotes; nephew Arthur Hotes; and his stepmother, Carlene Pullman of Rittman. In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by his beloved "furbabies," Max and Bobo.

Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM at Sly Family Funeral Home, 15670 W. High Street, Middlefield. Closing prayers will be held at 7:00 PM.

Memorial donations can be made to: Cardinal Athletic Boosters P.O. Box 41, Middlefield OH 44062.
