Marcianne E. Kimpton, age 94, of Middlefield, Ohio, passed away Friday evening, March 6, 2026, at Briar Hill Assisted living.

She was born February 18, 1932, in Cleveland, Ohio, the daughter of Leo Thomas and Lauretta (Smith) Thomas.

Marcianne was a dedicated registered nurse who devoted her life to caring for others. She worked for 4 years at Robinson Memorial Hospital and later served an additional 8 years at Geauga Community Hospital before retiring staying to home raise her growing family. Her long career reflected her deep compassion and commitment to her community. She enjoyed playing cards, gardening, flowers, and spending time with her family

She married Myron Kimpton on November 24, 1962, at St. Mary Church in Chardon. He preceded her in death on August 10, 2004.

Marcianne was also active in her community and proudly served for 20 years on the Welton Cemetery Board.

She is survived by her children, Alice (John) Wile, Raymond (Emily) Kimpton, Philip (Ana) Kimpton, and Arthur (Stacie) Kimpton.Grandmother of 11, and great grandmother to 6 Beside her husband and parents, she was preceded by her grandson Stefan Barstow.

Calling hours will be held Thursday March 12, 2026, from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00 PM at Sly family Funeral Home, 15670 W. High St, Middlefield, Ohio 44062

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM Friday March at St. Edward Catholic Church, 16150 Center St. Parkman, Ohio 44080, with Father Jacob Bearer officiating.

Marcianne will be laid to rest at Overlook Cemetery in Parkman Ohio.

Her family would like to Thank the staff at Briar Hill Assisted living for all their care and support.
