We knew Art Sr. well and our families were beneficiaries of the bakery's delicious treats, especially the fondant Easter eggs. We also enjoyed meals from the catering business. May Our Lord grant you many joyous memories of your loved one!Dee Enrico-Janik and family

Artie....you will always be my childhood friend who lived on Taft St. in Gary. You will also always be the high school football player we all remember...AND, your family will always own the Bakery in Tolleston we loved to go to. You will always be with us in our hearts and minds, but you left us much too soon. Hugs to all.

Working with Art was one of my fondest memories. In my young career, I learned many things from Art involving business, investments, communication skills, etc. Art was always looking at new things to get involved in. No challenge was too great. He was an inspiration to me and his knowledge in so many different areas and the people he was connected to was amazing. We worked well together and he was a great support in my professional career as well as my personal life. A phrase he used when I worked for him still sticks with me today. "You are too nice. You need to eat more nails and thumb tacks!"
For all his accomplishments in life, awards he received and ventures he was involved in, he was very humble. It was a privilege to work with Art and has been a joy to follow his ventures over the years. He will be missed by many.
