I was saddened to learn about Walt. I knew him through my coaching and his officiating. He had style and class never losing his composure when the games were tight. I enjoyed observing him in action when he was at Cheltenham contests and how well he related to players and coaches. In recent years Walt would greet me whenever our paths crossed and I enjoyed his warm personality. My deepest sympathy to his family.
