Robert H. Miller (Bob) of Doylestown, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully to be with Jesus on Monday, January 26, 2026, at Pine Run Health Center in Doylestown. He was 96 years old.

Born in Richmond, Virginia, to the late Harold W. Miller, Sr. and Susan (Brewbaker) Miller, Bob spent his early years in Virginia before later residing in Carmel, Indiana. In 1972, he and his family settled in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, where he became a longtime and cherished member of the community.

Bob earned his bachelor's degree from Roanoke College in Salem, Virginia, and went on to receive a Master's degree at Virginia Tech and a PhD in microbiology from the University of Maryland. He served as Director of Quality Control at Johnson & Johnson in Washington Crossing, Pennsylvania, for 17 years, retiring in 1999. Even in retirement, Robert's expertise and passion for his field continued as he established his own consulting business.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Bob lived a full and engaged life. He enjoyed golf and tennis, found joy in writing stories, and valued the fellowship of his church community as a faithful and active member of Doylestown United Methodist Church. He was also a committed member of the Dawn Patrol, a men's Bible Study that met weekly at 6 am.

He was known for his thoughtful nature, steady presence, and deep devotion to his family as well as his ability to engage everyone he met in friendly conversation. Even in his final days, he had a way of touching the hearts of his caregivers, who often shared how adorable they found him.

Bob was the beloved husband of Colleen (Calvert) Miller. He was a devoted father to Susan E. Miller; David C. Miller and his wife, Joanne; and the late Robert S. Miller, whose wife, Joni, survives him. He is survived by his half-sister Kim Shrum (Buck) and was predeceased by his brothers Harold, Richard, and Gerald Miller. Robert was a loving grandfather to Christie Holliday (Davis), Dana Miller (Ashley), Scott Michener (Brighid Kaeser), Sean Michener (Haleigh), Lindsey Miller (Will Burns), Brandon Miller, and Lisa Miller, and a cherished great-grandfather to Gracie, Ava, and Sophie Miller. He was also loved by his sister-in-law and brother in-law, Dot and Dan Ivey, as well as many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service is scheduled for May 30th at Doylestown United Methodist Church. Details to be provided later.

Cremation services were private under the direction of Varcoe-Thomas Funeral Home/Central Bucks Crematory, 344 North Main Street, Doylestown, PA 18901.
