Words can't describe how much I miss Jack Krumpe!! He was a wonderful man who had a big impact on my life. Loved him and Kitty so very very much. They are finally together again, and yes, Jack's "gone to another meeting"!! Missing you "Krumples".

We will miss you, Jack! You were such a presence on Callawassie Island, and a great friend to my parent's. Some of our best Callawassie memories are pulling fish up onto your dock, and I will miss seeing you taking your walks around the neighborhood. Rest in peace.

Jack Krumpe was certainly a dynamic man, who I well and fondly remember from his days as CEO of NYRA. Fittingly, I last saw him on a day in early September, as I was standing at the fence around the winner's circle at Belmont. There was Jack, Mrs. Tweedy and others. He spotted me, came over, expressed surprise at seeing me in a crowd of railbirds. He then went back to the celebrants around the horse who had just won his last race. The colt was named Secretariat. It must have been a good day for Jack, who lived such a useful, eventful life. Ave Aqua Valle
