Lynn Prior Obituary
Lynn was born March 22, 1933, in Manchester, the daughter of the late Clifford and Kathleen (Haugh) Varney, and had resided for most of her life in Manchester. A loving wife and mother, Lynn devoted her life to caring for her husband and children.
As a long time bridge player, bowler, and golfer, she greatly enjoyed the wholesome nature and camaraderie of these friendly competitions. She especially liked participating in golf tournaments at the local and state levels and through the years she served in many varied capacities with women's golf organizations and activities.
Besides her husband, Lynn is survived by her three children: her son, John and his wife, Michelle, of Coventry, her daughter, Mary Kozicki of Willington, and her son, Dan of Tega Cay, S.C. She also leaves behind her five grandchildren, Austin, Joshua, Christopher, Matthew, and Amy.
There will be no calling hours.
A Mass to celebrate her life will be held today at 1 p.m. at St. James Church, 896 Main St., Manchester. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
The John F. Tierney Funeral Home, Manchester, has care of the arrangements.
