We are so sorry for your loss. It is our loss for this incredible young lady. Sorry is so inadequate. But her life means so much to all of us. She is and will always be loved because of her and the incredible person she will always be, but she will live with us because of the woman Emily will always be. We love you. Terrie,
We are so sorry. There are no words to take the pain of losing Emily away, no way to make this time better. We are praying for strength and comfort for you and your family. Losing a child (Sarah, age 8) is/has been the hardest trial life has dealt us as parents. No matter what, they will ALWAYS be missed deeply. May the memories and the time you had with "Emmers" bring you comfort. My email is [email protected]. Don't hesitate to contact me if you want to talk. Much love and prayers for comfort being sent your way.

Gregg, Terrie and Kirsten,
I looked forward to all my visits with Emily. I has been a pleasure to care for her and watch her grow. She was a wonderful young lady with a wonderful and supportive family. She developed all her assets to her fullest potential. She was not a complainer but had remarkable strength of character. She loved her sister and her parents, she had many friends who were drawn to her personality, vivacity and generous nature. She will be missed by all who knew her.
We at the Diabetes Clinic will miss Emily and your family.

Terrie,
I remember receiving the first Juvenile Diabetes fundraiser letter that I believe Kirsten had composed and distributed to the Prairie families. Kirsten's love and support of Emily's illness was so evident in her enthusiastic request for pledges. Kirsten and Emily were so lucky to have each other as sisters, even if for so short a time. Please give Kirsten an extra big hug from Simi and the rest of the Rodgers family.
