So sorry to hear about Frank, I read it in the current FHSU magazine. We were students together at FHSU in the mid-70s and after graduation I lost track. Enjoyed our time together at Hays within the Greek system, always hate to read about friends in college passing away. Condolences to the family.

I first met Frank at FHSU at a Sigma Chi function. I was taken back by that lovely smile and beautiful brown eyes.He also dazzled all of us with his 260Z Datsun! We had many fun times at Hays that year and remained friends even after I changed schools. He helped me get through a tough year of being away from home for the first time. I have kept up with his career through the years and often wondered how he was. I was shocked when I saw his obituary. I do know that he loved his family and heritage and was very proud of his brother and sisters. My prayers are with you and your family during this very difficult time.

I was very upset to hear about Frank's untimely death. I went to law school with Frank at ORU and his wit and sense of humor helped all of us who graduated with him in the class of 1986. I ran into him at court on occasion and his wit and humor was always apparent. May God bless him and his family always.

I'll never forget meeting Frank for the first time in August, 1976, at WU School of Law! I enjoyed the time we spent together thereafter, often on a daily basis studying and prepping for class. Frank even worked for a while with me at the office of Attorney General Curt T. Schneider. I will cherish those memories and share them with several of our law school classmates who have yet to be informed of his passing. I know Frank was determined to become an attorney when he undertook enrolling in and completing the educational requirements for graduating, and then took and passed the Kansas Bar Exam. I know he wanted nothing more than to become an attorney and practice in his hometown of Wichita, just as I wanted to practice in my hometown of Topeka. I last saw Frank at a wake for Terri Fuller, a classmate of Frank's at Ft. Hays State and another one of the Fall 1976 WU Law School entrants. That was several years ago, and I haven't kept in regular contact since then. It is nice to read all the other comments about those who knew Frank and his passion for living.

I attended Frank's services yesterday and was moved by the memories that were shared. We laughed together as stories were told and cried inside at times with grief for a friend who's gone. One thing is certain, all who knew Frank, knew he was a special person who's shoes won't be filled again. Frank, you made us all better people for knowing you, and I'm sorry I didn't get the chance to tell you that over a glass of home made vino.

Since the first day I met Frank Kamas at college in early September, 1972 I have always considered him to be a close and most valued friend. Frank Kamas was one of the finest men I have ever known. I am still dazed and stunned by the news of his untimely passing. I wish that I could have come to his funeral. I do hope that Frank's family and Teri will accept my deepest and most sincere condolences.

Frank was one of those people who was just a "great guy." No matter what the circumstance, he somehow maintained the ability to not only be your friend - but make you laugh while he was doing it. I'm so sorry for your loss.

To all the Kamas family,
Frank was a dear friend who many of us from the So. Hillside area ran around with. I am so sorry to hear of his passing, at such an early age. Frank helped me out of a tough jam many years ago and his father Al did as well while I was in high school with Frank. I spent a lot of time playing at your house while growing up and always remember how sweet you mother, father and family were with everyone. I will always have fond memories of the time spend with Frank and the others we ran around with at Mead & East High. My thoughts and prayers are with your family as you deal with Franks passing. God bless you all.

Dear Family,

I was very saddened and stunned when I learned of Frank passing on.

I first met Frank on the campus of Ft. Hays State when my roommate, Bill Stremel, started taking political science classes with him. Frank became a part of the group and his joyous spirit and friendly manner were always welcomed.

Frank and I continued to get together after he moved to Wichita because he and Terry Fuller were such good friends. Terry would drive over to Wichita when I came to visit my parents and we’d often get together with Frank and Teri. I remember watching Frank work the bobcat to clean up his yard. Frank also came over to my sister’s house after my mother’s funeral, showing his sensitivity and concern at out time of loss.

Frank was a good man who did a lot of good things in his life. He certainly made the world a better place and brought his own brand of joy into my life.

Please accept my sincere condolences and know that my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Frank was a wonderful friend. I'm sorry I hadn't seen him much in recent years. We shared a lot of good times together at FHSU and in more recent years, some good times and a lot of laughs when I had the opportunity to visit Wichita. Frank, I hope your family can find some comfort in knowing how much you meant to so many of us.

Frank was our friend, and we will miss him. He was always a fun to talk with. We grew up together with Frank, John, Joann, Kacy, and Lexi. I have fond memories of our Boy Scout troop where we had fun together and learned life skills. Frank was one of the troop leaders. Frank won his first court battle just out of law school for me. We were privileged to have known him.
