John was one of my favorite men of God. Always enjoyed his Sunday School class with Jan. He was Godly, but also had a great sense of humor. We always loved taking to each other about golf, and exchanging stories. My prayers go out to Kent & Brad. May God continue to comfort you. I hope you're encourage to know he's with our Savior now. If there's a golf course in Heaven, he'll be there.

John was a great man who loved and served his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was devoted to his family, loved his fellow man, was always kind and gracious, and willing to help at the drop of a hat. He was a man worthy of emulation. John will be greatly missed, but not forgotten!

in the early 70s John made difference in my young life. As a model of Christian faith and faithfulness, he inspired me. When I moved to Dallas in January of 1976, John's example as a Christian employer and businessman became signposts for me in building my business and leading others. Becoming a deacon in my church, once again it was John whom I thought of when times for response required much of me. Then, when called back to vocational ministry, rekindling a calling that had originated from my days at Olivet, once again it was John - and others like him - whom I sought to help in planting our new church. As Gordon Dorian counted on John, I counted on dozens of other's just like him, the results of which are now etched into eternity. Heaven is his reward. He is with Christ. And by God's grace we will see him again.

I first met John when taking a Crown Ministries course he taught at IBC 15 years ago. I later enjoyed sharing the same Sunday School Class "Faithful Followers" at CABC. He was very knowledgeable of Scripture and enjoyed his input at class discussions. John was always very friendly and spoke whenever we met. He will be greatly missed, but know we will see & speak with him again in Heaven.
