Fran, we are so sorry for your loss. Mike was a great person, and that comes from a customer, not from one of his old time friends. Connie and I came to have a great respect for his integrity, and always looked forward to seeing his smile and jovial disposition. We will add him and your family to our prayer list.

Very found memories of Michael and his sons on Boy Scout overnights. His Brocato Inn tent still reverberates through the Troop 396 memory book. God Bless this man and prayers and love to your family during this most difficult time. Take comfort in the fact that he touched so many lives for the positive and those memories will never fade. Just like that smile won't. Thank you for being a friend Michael.

Very sorry to hear about Mike; hadn't heard about his illness. I remember working for Mike back in the early -90's when his office was over on Paseo. Had seen him a few years back at St. Thomas More. He was always a friendly guy with a great smile. I admired his commitment to his family. God Bless you Fran, and all your children & grandchildren - Pat Muller

Pam and I are so sad to hear of Mike's passing. I enjoyed Scouting with Mike very much. He will be remembered for the impressive way he cared for others...the wonderful steak and baked potato dinners, or the heater in the tent during the cold campout, to name two. Mike was always smiling and helping others. I will miss him. Our thoughts and prayers are for Fran and their family.

Mike lived his life with a "happy heart." His constant smile and infectious laugh, coupled with an earnestness in his words and expression, made me value his companionship during the years our kids were growing up. Mike also modeled devotion and affection to Fran in a way that was endearing and inspirational.
I was a guest in the Brocato Inn many times during our scouting years, when Mike pitched an enormous tent and rigged up a heating system in the middle with proper ventilation so all the old farts could sleep in relative comfort, while the kids earned their winter camping coups on the hard, cold ground. As my contemporary, I am stunned at his loss having learned only last week while out of town that he was fighting valiantly against prostate cancer. I am saddened to have missed a chance to say goodbye.
