Zane was a great personal friend and we had spent many hours playing sports and hanging out. Mainly in our younger years we played for the bottoms HourHouse Oriole's, and the for several other summer and American legion baseball teams. He was a hard competitor. Injuries held him back in football a couple times. Of all the sports besides baseball, he helped guide the Northeast Vikings to the Regional finals against Delasal. We made a great run and beat some great teams on our way to the finals. His brothers Ron, Walt, Bob, were in themselves good athletes at Northeast High in K.C. MO. We went to church every Sunday through High school, and played volleyball and basketball in the church league. We were Benton's at Northeast HS, and had tons of fun with Don Earnest ( the father of Josh Earnest) Obama's press Secretary. Don was nothing like Josh, but I do not know Josh at all. Zane will missed by all. God bless all of his family and friends. Until we meet again in Heaven my friend.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Zane's passing. Cancer is not fair. He was a good man, a tough competitor and a friend who always had your back. We all have a lot of good Zane Zuber memories that we will hold on to. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

We are deeply saddened by the news of Zane's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Zuber family. Zane played Tight end on the 1966 Northeast football team. He was one of the greatest competitors that I had in 25 years of coaching football.

I knew Zane from playing baseball against him from 9 years old and on. He was an incredible athlete who worked hard in all he did. I lined up with him on the football team as he was the offensive and defensive end and I was the running back and corner back at Northeast and he always looked out for me against the big guys. A true gentleman who defined honor and integrity. Bless you Zane and your family.

My heartfelt condolences to the family. Always cherish the memories that you have and remember that God is always there for us like it tells us at 1Peter 5:6,7. I hope you continue to feel the love and support from your family and friends.

It was a honor and privilege to have known Zane. He was a great classmate and even a better teammate.
