Charles M. Forker
February 9, 1933 - December 30, 2020
Lexington , Kentucky - Charles M. Forker, 87, of Lexington died Wednesday December 30, 2020 at the VA Hospital in Lexington. He was a retired employee of General Telephone Company with 37 years, a temporary employee of Lexmark and a farmer. He proudly served in the Army during the Korean conflict. Born February 9, 1933, a native of Hopkins County, he was the son of the late Charlie and Gillie Nance Forker and was a member of the Mt. Gilead Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of 60 years Bessie Arnold Forker, two sons Charles Robert Forker and William (Bill) Forker and his wife Debbie Estes Forker, four grandchildren Chris (Danielle), Charles Robert Jr., Anne Elizabeth and Ben Forker, 1 great grandson David (Peanut) Forker, 1 niece Shelly (Les) Page, an honorary daughter (Olie) Faye Downs. He was preceded in death by a sister Bettie Sue and her husband Marion Hugh Barrett. Funeral services will be at 2PM Monday, March 29, 2021 at Kerr Brothers - Main Street by Minister Dan Murphy. Visitation will be from 5-8PM Sunday, March 28, 2021 at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Casket bearers will be Chris Forker, Charles Robert Forker Jr., Jimmy Rhodus, Don Newman, Mike Wheatley, and Mitch Cooper.Honorary bearers will be grandchildren, Anne Elizabeth Forker, Ben Forker, and David (Peanut) Forker.
