July 6, 1953 - May 21, 2021
Versailles, Kentucky - Mary Ann Miller, 67, of Versailles, passed away on May 21, 2021. She was born July 6, 1953, in Dawson Springs, Ky., graduated from Murray State University and worked tirelessly for over 30 years at the Kentucky Department of Education, where she was a passionate advocate for Kentucky students. Mary Ann was a member of Crestwood Christian Church, Woodford County Retired Teachers, and P.E.O. Sisterhood, Chapter AO. She is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Ed, and their daughter, Amanda Traylor (Ryan); siblings Nancy B. Kweik, Dr. Robert Beshear (Lynn), Governor Steven L. Beshear (Jane), and David Beshear; and ten nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Mary Elizabeth Beshear, and her nephew, Glenn Allan Shelby. Visitation will be held at Kerr Brothers Funeral Home on Harrodsburg Rd., Tuesday, May 25, 5-7 p.m., and Wednesday, May 26, 9-11 a.m., with a service to follow at 11 a.m.

Ms. Miller was so brave, and stoic during her cancer treatment. It was an honor to know her, and to be part of her cancer team and I admired her very much. I especially admired her ability to have humor during dark times and her love of her family. Her Markey team is with you in spirit and mourning her loss too. She will be missed!
