CONSTANTINE PEROULAS

PEROULAS, CONSTANTINE (GUS) - beloved husband, father and grandfather, born April 12, 1926, died in his home after a lengthy illness on Saturday, September 13, 2014 surrounded by all of his loving family. Gus was a lifelong member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church and also a member of Evrytanian Association of America. After coming from Greece in 1956, he went into business with his brothers, Arthur and Al. Together they operated the original Pero's on Kingston Pike, Louis Inn in Fountain City, and The Pizza Palace for many years before his retirement. Preceded in death by his most beloved son, Sammy G. Peroulas; his parents, Charles and Victoria Peroulas; brothers, Arthur S. Peroulas and Al S. Peroulas. He is survived by his wife of fifty-three years, Maria G. Peroulas; daughter and son-in-law, Victoria and Dr. George Pliagas; grandchildren, Andrew, Deanna and Tina Pliagas; sister, Athena and husband Menas Keramidas; nephews, Sam Keramidas, Elias and wife Cathy Keramidas; niece, Olga and husband, Troy Marlar; sister-in-law, Tina Peroulas; niece, Victoria and husband Kevin Zurcher, nephew and godson, Charles Peroulas; brother-in-law, Gus Kampas and wife Mary; nephew, Leon and wife Rachel Kampas; niece, Alice and husband Brian Hester; brother-in-law, Victor and wife Rebecca Kampas; nieces, Betsy and husband Scott Henderson and Maria and husband Dustin Landry, Christina Kampas; sister-in-law, Faye and brother-in-law, Michael Pritsiolas; nephews, Dr. James and wife Krissy Pritsiolas; Dr. Leo and wife Melissa Pritsiolas; sister-in-law, Lena Peroulas; nieces, Victoria and husband Brian Jansma. Margaret Peroulas; nephew Sam Peroulas; and many beloved great-nieces and nephews. There will be a receiving of friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, September 15, 2014 at St. George Greek Orthodox Church with a Trisagion service at 7:45 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at St. George Greek Orthodox Church officiated by Father Anthony Stratis. Interment will follow in Lynnhurst Cemetery. Pallbearers: Kevin Zurcher, Elias Keramidas, Leon Kampas, John Peroulas, Mike Nassios, Brian Hester, Dustin Landry, and Troy Marlar. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. George Greek Orthodox Church Memorial Fund, 4070 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, Tennessee 37919.
