Daddy,

How I thank the Lord for all of our days together. And how I praise Him for the merciful way He took you home.

Your service was very special. Sherry has been so wonderful to take care of all the arrangements. We claimed II Timothy 4:7 for your life. So many people loved you, Daddy.

I miss you. . .your smile and your laugh. . .your comforting touch. . . the way you were quietly available in our many times of trial. I miss you, but I know you're in Heaven and nothing could ever be better than that. I praise God for our salvation so that we will be reunited on our appointed day.

Phil and Lindsay have been such a great comfort to me -- I'm sure you knew they would be. Viki and I are helping each other heal in God's boundless grace. Sherry is ever in our prayers and our offer of help to her is always available.

Bill released your ashes over the farm from Jim's friend's plane on Tuesday, September 26th. Carol S., Jim, Jeri and Roy, Sherry, Viki, Lindsay and I were there. It was just like you wanted. . .almost.

The Lord is with all of us now, providing that peace that passes all understanding -- just like He promised -- and always right when we need it.

Thank you for your understanding and your care and your love -- thank you for everything, Daddy.

I'll see you. . .

Love, Lisa

Dear Lisa:

Losing our parents is so hard. I remember you sent me a beautiful letter when I lost my daddy in 1991. I also remember slumber parties and spending the night at your house when we were little and how fun it was to sit in your kitchen and drink a coke. Your Mom and Dad always made things fun. I know you have many beautiful memories to get you through your loss.

Love and blessings to your family,

Lisa and Vickie:

I'm sorry I can't come to your Dad's services. Your Dad was always so sweet to me, he always called me "BC" which I loved. I'll always remember how great he was for tagging along with all of us girls to Girl Scout camp. It's funny how we only realize how amazing that was when we are adults and doing all the same things. You will be in my thoughts during this time.

Love,
