Charles Marantz Obituary

MARANTZ, Charles Emanuel (93) Passed away August 17, 2006 in Huntington Beach, CA. He was a veteran of WWII. He retired from Swedlow, Inc. after 30 years of service. He was born February 20, 1913 in Brooklyn, NY. Charles married Yetta Swedlow Abdun-Nur November 25, 1947. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Glen and Donna Abdun-Nur, Ray and Sharon Abdun-Nur, and two daughters, Sandra Bartlett and Lynn Marantz; his sister and brother-in-law, Edith and Walter Marksohn; three granddaughters; four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. His wife Yetta, and son, Dan L. Marantz, died before him, as did his brother Saul B. Marantz. A funeral service will be held at the Francis P. DeVine Funeral Home, Inc., 293 South Street, Oyster Bay, NY on Monday at 10:00 a.m. Interment to follow at Locust Valley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to City of Hope, 1500 East Duarte Road, Duarte, CA 91010; (626) 256-4673. A memorial reception will also be held in Southern California at a later date.

i JUST LEARNED ABOUT THE PASSING OF A MAN FULL OF HUMOR AND A LOVE OF LIFE. i WISH SOMEONE HAD THOUGHT TO TELL ME ABOUT HIS PASSING. i'M SO SORRY AND AM SURE HE WILL BE MISSED.
