In the early fifties, when Joy was concertmistress of Peter Meremblum's California Junior Symphony Orchestra, we were all in love with her. Not only a lovely young woman, but an enormously talented violinist who was often featured with that orchestra playing the great pieces for violin and orchestra. She and her husband, my good friend Sid Sharp, were an extraordinary violin pair among the best musicians employed in the Hollywood studios.

Joy was just that -- a beacon of love and I am so happy to have spent time with her through you... and my family. I think of you often and know that you both have a special place in my heart. Devorah (Debbie) Cutler-Rubenstein and family. I am so happy to have Joy's music on CD which I play often in my car! Sending love to you and your family. xoxo

I was saddened by the news of Joy's death. She was beautiful, extremely talented and great fun. A refreshing spirit amongst us at work in the studios. I send condolences and love to her family.
