Lou Schloss Obituary

April 6, 1925 - March 24, 2016 "Lucky" Lou passed away peacefully in his sleep, Thursday, March 24, 2016. His claim to fame, as his business card proudly read, was that he was the husband of Muriel, a LG (lousy golfer), LTTP (lousy table tennis player), and LCP (lousy card player), but he was actually very good at all those things. He was born in Heilbronn, Germany, April 6, 1925. He and his family survived the Nazi regime and were sponsored in the US by Carl Laemmle. Lou served in the US Army WWII in the European theater. He met and became lifelong friends with a group of people who were with him until the end. He realized his life partner was Muriel when he sat behind her at a UCLA football game and she actually understood what was going on! They were married for more than 67 years. He is survived by his wife, Muriel, his son Peter (Hadass), daughter Karen (Richard), grandchildren: Brian, Allison, Graham, and his brother Kurt (Stina) Schloss. He was preceded in death by his parents George and Katherine Schloss and his granddaughter Meravie Schloss.
