Our beloved Patricia Ann "Patsy" Tipps Williams Merrill passed away peacefully on Friday afternoon, December 4th.

Patsy was born February 26, 1935 on a tank farm in Wilson, Oklahoma to Harry Edward Tipps and Wilna Biggs Tipps.

She graduated from Ardmore High School in 1953. She married Ernest H. "Judge" Williams, Jr. and they moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico in January of 1958 with their two daughters Beth Ann and Diane. She worked in the legal field, alongside her husband for many years. Their third daughter, Suzanne was born in 1963.

Patsy relocated to Albuquerque in 1982 to manage a law firm. She was married to Frank Merrill for approximately seven years and remained in Albuquerque after retirement until her death.

Patsy is survived by her three daughters, Beth Ann Williams McBride (Robert H. "Bob", deceased) of Albuquerque, Diane Williams Morrow (Harold) of Deming, and Suzanne Williams Kammann (Dan) of Minnesota; five grandchildren, Ashlee Morrow Eddowes (Manuel), Dustin Morrow (Jennifer), Jordan Morrow, Rori McBride and Derek Kammann; five great-grandchildren, Andres, Danika and Dersen Eddowes, and Owen and Rhett Morrow; one sister, Dee Callahan of Colorado and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Patsy was predeceased by her parents and two brothers, Harry and Tommy Tipps.

Patsy had rheumatic fever at eight years old missing third grade. As a result of this illness, in later years she developed congestive heart failure which led to her death.

Patsy loved college football, especially the Oklahoma Sooners, her garden, happy hour, her family and the many cherished friendships throughout her life. She was fortunate to have made such wonderful friends during the last one and a half years while living at The Montebello in Albuquerque. Having touched so many lives with her loving heart, tremendous wit and positive outlook, this extraordinary woman will be deeply missed.

The family would like to thank Heritage Helping Hands caregivers for their extraordinary support, love and compassion for our mother. We would like to especially thank Agatha St Louis-Leon, Diane Molina and Breanna Blakeway who not only loved and cared for our mother but offered such support to our family during this most difficult time.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date in Las Cruces, NM.
