Jessica Watsula Obituary

Jessica L. Watsula
South Lebanon Twp.
On the stormy night of Saturday, July 30, 2016, our beautiful daughter, Jessica Lynn (Brubaker) Watsula, age 35, was tragically cut short in a flash-flood in Ellicott City, Maryland. Though we have hurting, broken hearts, Jesus, Our Lord and Savior, took her from us to be home with him. We thank him for the time he did give us with you. But life will NEVER be the same without her, ever again. Even though we ask over and over again, W-H-Y?-We must go on with all the memories she left behind. She was born in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania on February 15, 1981 to her parents, Curtis A. Brubaker, Sr. and Drema K. (Bowman) Brubaker, of Holtwood. She was raised in Marticville and later Mount Nebo. She graduated from Penn Manor High School in 1999. She studied Law Enforcement in Vo-Tech, but went on to work in retail so she could have a flexible schedule. She loved being around and serving people and had a bubbly personality and a beautiful smile that people loved. She was very independent, energetic and loved going to the gym to work out. She loved the outdoors, nature, hiking, biking, the beach and summertime. Warm days were her favorite time, as well as Halloween and Christmas. There were always visits at Mom and Dad's farmette where she and her daughter, Sarah, loved seeing our little Chihuahuas, Tinker and Chester. Also they loved going to see Aunt Becky and family, Uncle Curt and family, talking to Aunt Missy and her family (who traveled in the Air Force). There were always holiday gatherings and family celebrations. Also taking Sarah to Daddy's house. When family and friends received gifts from her, they were always so unique, special, and from the heart. She loved talking to Mom and Nanny about the Bible. She loved the Lord, attended Living Waters Chapel in Lebanon, and always helped Sarah say her prayers. Sarah loved her mother so very much, and words could never describe all the love and care that Jessie had for Sarah. They had a special bond that Sarah will cherish forever. They were always together. They both had a passion for collecting Mermaids, and loved bird collectibles. They loved their little pet rats, Scarlet and Mocha, as well as their little finches. They loved sitting around a campfire together. Though they had many cherished friends, Mary Ann and Jennifer were so special. We were so proud of our petite, beautiful daughter with long, flowing hair and the gorgeous smile. If only we could hug you again and kiss your cheek. The tears, pain and memories will stay with us forever. Family is where life begins and love never ends. Hope we'll meet again someday.
She leaves behind; daughter- Sarah; parents-Curtis and Drema; sisters- Melissa K. Saraiva (wife of Armando and their two daughters; Zia and Zoe and son; Tristan); Rebecca A. Brubaker (and her two daughters; LoLonya and Shateah and their children-Labrelle, Bryair and Zavena) and her son; Marquan); her brother; Curtis A. Brubaker, Jr. (husband of Christina and their daughter; Ava and son; A, of Willow Street; her brother; Curtis A. Brubaker, Jr. (husband of Christina and their daughter; Ava and son: Adam); maternal grandmother; Pastor Gloria B. Bowman-Davis and step-grandfather; and her former husband; Thomas J. Watsula. She left behind numerous cousins, aunts and uncles.
Jessica was also preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Clyde Bowman (lovingly called "Ga"); paternal grandfather, Paul H. Brubaker, Sr. and paternal grandmother, Mary B. (Lowery) Brubaker.
Precious Jessie, there are not words to describe the pain we feel without you. Not a day will go by that you're not in our thoughts, prayers and hearts. Love Always, Mom, Dad and your family

The last time I seen Jess was about 17-18 years ago.
One day why'll I was standing in Wyommising Giant Store self check out , I heard a voice call out my maiden name (Cindy Frankford) I thought to myself who around this area knows my maiden name seeing I'm from Pequea.
Much to my surprise it was little Jess, I knew that beautiful smile and laugh anywhere. We hugged and did some catching up. She hadn't changed at all and for the first time I got to meet her daughter Sarah
( just as beautiful as her mom )
Jess you touched a lot of people's lives and you have made a very special spot in their hearts, you will always and forever be that ray of sunshine on our faces because that is what you did for every one of us , you brightened our lives. I look forward to seeing that smile again, miss you till then.
Dear Sarah ,
Mom was very proud of you and loved you very deeply, she will always be with you. If you fall into ruff times just ask your self
What would mom & Jesus want me to do and you will do great.

I was only given the opportunity to meet jess just once while bowling at a mutual friends birthday gathering, but that memory of how happy and lively her personality was I'll remember forever. She talked of her daughter who she said was her whole world and her family as we played tricks trying to destract each other while bowling. Few people I've met in my lifetime have made such a big memory as she did in just a few hours.. I was so saddened to hear the news of her passing and i wish my sincerest thoughts and prayers to the family she leaves behind.
May you rest in peace jess

Jessica was a kind and loving young woman. Her devotion to Sarah was inspirational. My late husband and I had a wonderful day with the two of them at the Speedwell Wolf Sanctuary and then lunch afterwards. Jessica spoke lovingly of her family. She will be greatly missed. Prayers for Sarah and the entire family.

My sincerest sympathies in your great loss. Many feel that death is a natural part of life, but we were created to enjoy earth's beauty forever, not a limited amount of years. God "put eternity" into our hearts, the desire to live forever. (Ecclesiastes 3:11).
