Nickolas VAN STAVEREN Obituary
Nick van Staveren, late of Weyburn, SK passed away Wednesday, March 11, 2015, at the age of 83 years. Prayers will be held on Sunday, March 15, 2015, at 7:30 p.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church Weyburn, SK. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, March 16, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Roman Catholic Church, Weyburn, SK with Father Gerry Bauche, celebrant. Active Pallbearers are John van Staveren, Vincent van Staveren, Marcel van Staveren, Paul Milatz, Trevor Sutter, and Alex Wlodarczyk. Interment will follow at Green Acres Memorial Gardens, Weyburn, SK. For family and friends so wishing, donations in memory of Nick may be made to The Alzheimer Society of SK, 2550 12th Avenue, Regina, SK, S4P 2X1, or The ALS Society of Canada, 90C Cavendish Street, Regina, SK, S4M 5G7. Arrangements are entrusted to RD Family Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, Weyburn, SK (848-0333 ~ 1-888-848-0333). Petrona and I wish to extend our deepest sympathies to Truus, Jerry and Mark as well as the extended family. Nick will be remembered as one of these people who always managed to make you feel comfortable to be around, who could have a few laughs with and who you would consider your friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.
