Summerton, S.C.

Memorial service for Frances Chapman Keller, 85, will be Friday, December 14, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Summerton United Methodist Church in Summerton, S.C. with the Rev. Carolyn Malphrus officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in West End Cemetery, St. Matthews, S.C. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the Church.

Mrs. Keller died Saturday, December 1, 2012, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born December 4, 1926, in Ohio to Edgar Wright Chapman and Elsie Mae Alexander Chapman. Fran was a member of Summerton United Methodist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher, a choir member, and served in multiple other capacities in the church. She devoted her life to her family. She love the outdoors, gardening, animals, painting, reading and love the beach.

Fran Keller and her family were grateful for the care and assistance she received from a number of people: Dr. Robert Eagerton of Manning, S.C.; Marge Hunter and her granddaughter, Marissa; and Delores Crummell of Summerton, S.C. The family also extends sincerest thanks to Doctors Scott Matthews, Charles Prickett, Allen Schmidt, Steve Chandler and Randy Riehl, all of Decatur, and to the staff at The Terrace of Priceville, Rivercity Rehab in Decatur, and the loving and kind staff at Summerford Rehab and Nursing Home in Falkville, where Fran spent her final days. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Dr. Eugene William Keller Jr.; her parents; and two brothers, Richard and Edgar Chapman.

Survivors include three daughters, Leslie Keller Hofammann (Dabney) of Decatur, Linda Keller Hart (Larry) of Ft. Mill, S.C. and Elizabeth Keller Lierley (Michael) of Mt. Pleasant, S.C.; six grandchildren, Allen N. Hofammann (Allison), Elizabeth K. Hofammann, Kathryn F. Hart, B. Hunter Hart, Jonathan D. Lierley and Zachary w. Lierley; sisters-in-law, Evelyn Chapman and Edna Moody Keller Feryus.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Summerton UMC P.O. Box 35 - Summerton, S.C. 29148 or to a charity of one's choice.
