Eleanore Marguerite Weger

Eleanore Marguerite Connaughton Weger, 92, of Wapakoneta died 10:41 p.m., Mon. Feb. 27, 2017 at The Gardens of Wapakoneta.
Mrs. Weger was born Jan. 15, 1925 in Wapakoneta, the daughter of Frank P. and Pauline (Hoegner) Connaughton, who preceded her in death. On May 20, 1944, she married James E. Weger, and he died in 2006.
Survivors include three daughters, Julia Chismar of South Bend, IN, Katharine (David) Dabbelt of West Chester and Sara (Keith) Reisinger of Coto de Caza, CA; a daughter-in-law, Mary Sidener Weger of Tacoma, WA; grandchildren, Michael (Raquel) Chismar, Andrew Chismar, Catherine Chismar, Peter (Lauren) Dabbelt, Elizabeth Dabbelt (Patrick) Cushing, Nicholas Dabbelt, Ella Weger (Tanner) Boyajian, Joseph (Camilla) Weger, Grace Weger, Eric Reisinger, John Reisinger and Julianna Reisinger; great grandchildren, Hannah Chismar, Juliette Chismar, Michael Chismar, Stella Dabbelt, Brody Dabbelt, Sawyer Dabbelt, Lillian Cushing and Cole Cushing; and siblings, Dr. Carole Connaughton of Sault Ste. Marie, MI and John Connaughton of South Bend, IN.
Mrs. Weger was preceded in death by a son, James Weger, Jr., who died in 1996, an infant son, and a sister, Charlotte Hemmert.
Mrs. Weger was a homemaker, and a life member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta, where she was also a member and officer of the former Christian Mothers Sodality. She was a former member of the Junior Service League and charter member of the Wapakoneta Country Club. She was also a member and former president of the Helen Hunt Circle and a member of the St. Rita's Hospital Auxiliary. A 1943 graduate of St. Joseph High School, Mrs. Weger attended Miami University, where she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m., Thurs. March 2 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church, Wapakoneta, with Rev. Patrick Sloneker officiating. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery, Wapakoneta. In accordance with Eleanore's wishes, there will be no public visitation.
