It has been nice to read that Chris had worked on his life to make it better and that his new wife Karen seemed to make him so happy and I can certainly see he made her extremely happy. Thank you to some of Karens family for writing me, I appreciate it. Like I said, I went through years of the good times and bad, we were friends for a long time.

To The Adams Family
I have known Chris for almost 18 years. Jade was just a small child when I met Chris in Ft. Worth at the wrestling when he was with the Von Erich's. Towards the end of Chris's life changed because of Karen, he seemed to have found his true solemate. I was sick alot while living with Jeanie and lost alot of weight, and everytime Chris saw me he seemed more caring and worried about what I was going through. He wanted to know what the Dr's were doing for me. For the first time in 18 years he truly hugged me and gave me a kiss saying everything would turn out O.K. Chris, you were a true friend and caring person and will be deeply missed by all who knew you well!!
God Bless You Chris take care my friend!!
Love Ya lots and Always

I was fortunate to have met Chris through his very special lady and wife, Karen. His affable personality was the type that each of us appreciates to be around. I think all of us fortunate
enough to have been around him are better off for it...

Chris,
I remember the first time I met you. You and Karen came to my wife Kelly's surprise birthday party, and Karen introduced you as her fiance'. I never will forget the how much you were in love. In all of the years that we have known Karen, I'd never seen her happier than she was with you. Your smile lit up the room and made me proud to call you my friend. The pictures that we took that night, some of which we framed and gave you on your wedding night, captured that smile, that glow, and the love that you two shared. Today I picked up several rolls of film that we had taken to be developed. The first envelope that I opened contained your wedding pictures. I couldn't hold back the tears, as I looked through them, and saw you and Karen, all decked out on your big day. You both were bigger than life.
I will miss you my friend. It's a comfort to me that you had so many friends to "tag you in" when you got to that big ring in the sky, for truely there was no bigger gentleman, in or out of the ring.

I met Chris several times, and truly enjoyed his company. He could put a smile on anyone's face. I also saw the joy he put in his new wife's eyes.......Mrs. Karen Adams. I never saw two people more in love. Chris & Karen mentioned several times to me how much they were in love and that they were soul mates.....this I believe. It was easy to see Chris's joy having Karen in his life, and knowing Chris's past before her, his time with Karen was truly the happiest days of his life. Karen is a very strong person and will make it through this difficult time, and it certainly helps knowing that Chris took the Lord in his life before this tragedy. God Bless the both of you.

Chris, you were a new light in our lives. You had us get out and have fun again watching your matches. Even getting our family involved in the matches. Your smile and good heart made a difference in our lives. I was proud to have you as a brother-in -law. Thanks for making my sister so happy. When I found out about my heart condition, you made it a point to find out all about it. Your concern was comforting. You said how much you loved my crazy & fun family. I loved talking and having a beer with you. Here's one to you, Chris. See ya soon.
Love from your sis.

Chris was the newest addition to our family. He married my Aunt Karen just a couple of months ago. I will never forget the first time I met him. It was last Christmas and he came to my grandparents house. I was so star struck at first. I mean, I used to have pictures of this guy hanging on my bedroom walls when I was in junior high!! Then when I got to know him a little better the night of his and Karen's wedding, I knew that what made him so special was that he was a "real person". He was kind and polite and he brought Karen so much happiness. He will be deeply missed. Karen - I love you and you are in my prayers!!

I did not know you very well, but I saw the smile you put on my Aunt Karen's face. I have never seen her so happy. Thank you for making the short time you had together so special for her. I know there is always a reason why things happen, just help Aunt Karen understand! Keep watch over her day and night.

There has to be a special place in heaven - for such a wonderful guy.
You lived a fascinating life and will be missed by so many, now it's been tragically cut short.
Now I think of you winning bouts in the ring, surrounded by countless angels!
You were a great pal of my brother, Rod Gibson, in the UK, and treated me like a kid sister too when we were growing up. You have always been a SHINING STAR and will continue to be wherever you are.

So much violence, so much pain,
Why does this happen again and again.
Words seem inadequate, how can we express,
How crushed we all are - overwhelmed with sadness.
The sun doesn’t shine quite so brightly today,
Could that be because you’ve been taken away?
Our memories vivid and will stay with us forever,
The times we have laughed, shed a tear, grieved together.
Though time and deep oceans had kept us apart,
Our friendship will live on in our broken hearts,
We were only ever a phone call away.
Now we struggle just to live day to day.
You are in our thoughts, our hearts, our minds,
A truly gentle man - one of a kind,
A friend to the end and unlike any other,
A loving son, husband, father and brother.
We love you and miss you,
Cannot believe it’s the end,
How can we say goodbye,
To our most special friend.....
All our love, now and forever

My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Chris Adams. Though I did not know him personally, he was always "larger than life" as I was growing up watching him wrestle. Now, with kids of my own, who love watching the sport as well, we seen Chris on a recent TV wrestling show (I think it was WCW). I laughed with my kids as I was telling them that Chris used to be "my hero" when I was younger. We had a very nice family night as I pulled out old wrestling scrapbooks that had anybody and everybody in the WCCW.
For Chris's children, I empathize. I pray that God will get you through this and make you stronger in Him. I cannot put into words the pain that you are feeling right now, nor can I find the words that can be of comfort right now. I can only pray that when you sometime in the near future, that this will help ease your sorrow.
In closing, Chris Adams will be missed. By family, by friends, and by fans around the world. God Bless.

Chris, we were so sad to hear about your sudden death. Even tho we didn't know you personally, you gave us so many years of fun and exciting wrestling to watch and enjoy. We really enjoyed watching you and the Von Erichs at the Sporatorium, along with Gino and Sunshine. Those were the fun days! May you rest in peace and our prayers go out to your family. Say hi to David, Kerry, Mike and Chris Von Erich!
A true "Gentleman" . . .gone but not forgotten!

I never knew Chris personally, but I knew him from watching him in the ring. You could tell without really knowing him that he was a true Gentlemen. The way he carried himself and those dimples everytime he smiled... you couldn't help but smile back. But I'm thankful for the memories I have of him at the ol' Sportatorium. My love and prayers go out to his family and friends. He won't ever be forgotten. - Sincerely, (an old wrestling fan) Kym

My prayers go out to the family. I can't believe you are gone, but you will never be forgotten. I couldn't believe it when my friends from Texas called and said you were gone. I haven't been around you and your family since Jade was a little girl, but I have never forgotten what a great and "Gentleman" you were. We will miss you terribly.
God Bless Your Family,

I was so sad to get a phone call from my friends in Texas telling me of Chris's death. I have known Chris since his daughter Jade was a little girl, when Christopher was a baby and then Tyler. We use to have great fun at the lake and through the years, went through good times and bad. Bless him and his family.
