Obituary of Mark Wesley Williams
Mark Wesley Williams, 61, of Amsterdam, New York, passed away on December 9, 2021 at St. Peter's Hospital, with his loving family by his side. Mark was born on September 28, 1960 in Johnson City, New York to the late Donald and Rosette (Petit) Williams.
Mark began his career as a Tow Truck Driver with Dudka's Garage, where he worked until their closing. He went on to work for several local garages through the years, until settling into a position with KC Towing.
Mark's loving family includes his nine children, Mark Williams Jr., Lisa Bender, Frank Williams, George Williams, Misty Lee Williams, Jonathan Williams, Kaylin Williams, Chelsea Williams, and Wesley Williams; six beloved siblings, Donna McKay, Shirley Williams, Peggy Parsio, Roxanne Shepley, Colette Guldenschuh, and Donald "Donny" Williams Jr.; as well as his 27 grandchildren.
Mark's kind, caring, and fun-loving personality will be forever missed, and he will live on forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He was known as "the best daddy" to his children. Mark could always be found working on something, or lending a helping hand to someone in need with a smile on his face, even if he was having a bad day. Mark will be remembered for his love of Pepsi, spending time with his friends and family, on his boat, hunting, and starting new projects, but never finishing them.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Saturday, December 18th from 2:00 until 4:00 in the afternoon at the Betz, Rossi & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam, New York. Interment will be held at a later date in the Poughkeepsie Rural Cemetery, Poughkeepsie, New York, where he will be laid to rest with his mother. Memorial contributions may be made in Mark's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or online at stjude.org/donate
