When Tanner went to heaven I was so sad for the family and wished I could do something to comfort them. I tried to understand how they felt, but I didn't really know how they felt. That was until I lost my own son 6 months later. Now I know the heartache of losing a child. I know how this first Christmas feels where we don't have these two young men at our table and around the Christmas tree anymore. Our one and only comfort though is knowing that both of them are in the presence of Our Savior and Lord Jesus Christ and that they are both happy and we will see them again. Praise God for that assurance.

My Deepest Sympathy to the Hoang family.
I am Valarie Roberts, Holden Edmondson is my grand nephew.I flew in from Canada to attend Holden and Morgan's wedding July 03,2022.
Tanner was one of the groomsmen and I admired how handsomely he played that role.I watched him dancing with the groom and other grooms men---they were having a wonderful time.Their laughter and chatter was infectious. Tanner was so happy then.
I pray that as Hope lifts up those who are burdened with sorrow will carry them to a place of peace.

No words can take away your sorrows but please know we are praying for strength and healing for your family through this day and those ahead. We are all so glad to have known Tanner, played baseball with him, gone to school(s) with him and called him a friend. May he rest in everlasting Peace. Please note, our family is constructing a small memorial that will be placed at the Pennybacker Bridge in Austin in loving memory of Tanner. We, as Aggies, requested his name be added to the 2023 Muster Roster and have received confirmation of him on the roll call. Here.

I'm so sorry for the hurt in your hearts. I am comforted though knowing that Tanner is with our Savior, Jesus Christ. My son, Robert Pegg, knew Tanner well and considered him a good friend. Tanner will be so very missed. We look forward to the day when we can see him again in Paradise. Thank you for sharing Tanner with us.

I knew Tanner when an infant. I knew his mother, Alisa, from high school and his father, Kiet, from college years. I got to hear Tanner share how he came to know the Lord Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. I helped Tanner and Mia make instruments while Alisa was pregnant with Emma. He was young and growing in faith. It was a beautiful testimony of faith and belief. It was wonderful to hear him grow, think, and share years later while being active in the community and school events he enjoyed. I observed him as a grateful brother to his sisters and disciplined through his university years. When recently he was selected as a house host/defender of the sorority my niece pledged, I was glad they would select someone dignified, caring, and cautious. I am glad for what I knew of him and know many who feel the same. I know earth grieves and Heaven rejoices. I recall him being perceptive and careful. I believe there is much he perceived that God will still share with us that await a reunion with him again. Truth cannot be silent, and I admire when he knew to share what he perceived and heard.
God knows the hope and life Tanner knew
For Tanner believed God's love is true
I know God can take all sweet memories
And give them to us like a ship on the seas
That is led by the wind and a rudder to guide
Comforted by His Spirit, safe to abide
