Gene was one of the last true gentlemen and so very kind. I knew him through the sportsman club and from the first day he was welcoming, supportive, and always ready to help. Sincere condolences to the family.

So sorry to hear of Gene's passing. I got to know him and his beautiful wife when I worked at the Butler Farm Market. He will be sorely missed. Prayers for his family.

Dave, Shellie, Alyssa, Colton & Great Grandchildren ... I know you are all sad and heartbroken, but take comfort in knowing that no one loved their son and son's family more than Gene did. We both spoke about our Grandchildren, and Gene was so very, very proud of Alyssa and Colton and almost every time we'd go to lunch, or to the range, or just visit for coffee he would smile and tell me the latest. I especially remember how proud he was when he told me his first "GREAT Grandchild" was due.
I called him my, "Favorite Leprechaun," because he kept bringing me bottles of Jameson's Irish Whiskey at my store and we'd have some in our coffee!
He was a great friend and I will miss him.
