Dear Carole and Lisa and Mark,

What sadness I felt for all of you
when I learned of Al's death. I
have so many memories of him that
make me smile that I know all of
you must have a million more to see
you through this difficult time. He
was a treasured friend. Carole, your
devotion and courage since Al was
first diagnosed have been admired
by all who know you. Your family is
in my prayers.

Fondly, Janie

Carol, I was privileged to know Al for a short time when he was sick. Even then, he was a very special human being. I know you will get through this difficult time very well. You have done the caretaker role especially well; so patient and loving. You have nothing to regret except this terrible wasteful disease. I hope it is conquered soon so noone else has to go through what we have. Being single after so long is hard and I stand ready to help with that as you need along with your many other friends. Know that I care about you. Harriet

also give you the strength to move
on. Take care.
