Charles L. Rogier

Charles L. Rogier, 83, of Manchester, NH, died February 1, 2007, at Mount Carmel Nursing Home, after a period of failing health.

Born in Manchester, NH on June 8, 1923, he was the son of Leon and Isabelle (Collins) Rogier. He was a lifelong resident of the city.

Mr. Rogier graduated from Manchester High School West, class of 1941B.

During World War II, he served with the United States Army.

Until his retirement in 1984, Mr. Rogier worked as a meter mechanic with Public Service Company of New Hampshire for thirty-two years.

He was a longtime communicant of Saint Pius X Church. He was a member of the Last Man Club, the American Legion Jutras Post, American Legion Post 51 and AARP.

Mr. Rogier will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose family was the center of his life. He enjoyed painting in acrylics.

Family members include his wife of nineteen years, Jeannette (Morin) Cassidy-Rogier of Manchester, NH, two sons, James C. Rogier of Epping, NH and Gary L. Rogier of Hooksett; his daughter, June L. Rogier Sanbornton, NH; two-step-sons, Richard Cassidy and Donald Cassidy both of Manchester, two step-daughters, Rita J. Charpentier and Carol L. Fox both of Manchester; one granddaughter; eleven step-grandchildren, and five step-great-grandchildren, a niece and nephew.

In his life: Mr. Rogier leaves his beloved granddaughter, Melissa Rogier. He was predeceased by his first wife of forty years, Valerie "Vi" (Karagianis) Rogier who died in April 12, 1986 and his step-daughter, Linda Cassidy-LaPerle.

Services: A memorial mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Saturday February 10, 2007, at 1:30 PM in Saint Pius X Church, Manchester, NH.

Urn burial will take place in Pine Grove Cemetery, Manchester, NH.
