With the heaviest of hearts, we announce the passing of Debra (Debbie) Ann Youmans, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Born on April 10, 1957, to Barbara June Monk and Budd Mancil Thompson, Debbie lived a life filled with compassion, love, and an unwavering dedication to her family.
Debbie's greatest joy was caring for her loved ones. She was the heart and soul of her family, always offering wisdom and guidance filled with hard truths and unconditional love, embodying the very essence of a nurturer. Whether in her garden, where she found peace and beauty in nature, or surrounded by animals she adored, Debbie's love knew no bounds. She was like Mother Nature, nurturing every living thing she touched. Her unmatched strength and will could move mountains, and it did many times over for the ones she loved.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 33 years, David Youmans, and their children and grandchildren: Larry Sell, Mandy Sell, JD Sell (Ivette), Tonya Goehring-Tassell (Ryan Tassell), Chloe Goehring, Quentin Goehring, Grayson Tassell, and Gavyn Tassell. She also leaves behind her brother, Bill Thompson, and her sister by heart Lori Bostick, along with their children and families. Services honoring Debbie will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 at 10 AM at Cherokee Memorial Park.
