Dr. Doris Tegart was always a joy and pleasure to work with during our years together here at Bellarmine. I truly loved her intellect, sense of humor and enjoyed the many stories of her lovable Grandchildren whenever I assisted her with her iPad, iPhone or office computer. Although she has progressed through many pertinent positions at Bellarmine, she was truly an Exceptional and Wonderful Interim President following the sudden passing of your beloved Friend, Dr. Jay McGowan and may GOD continue to Rest His Soul
Our Family lovingly and wholeheartedly thanks Dr. Tegart for the ongoing Prayers and encouragement during my recent diagnosis and surgery for Kidney cancer. In addition, her kind words of support for my Beautiful, now Dr. Wife Janel, were sincerely appreciated as she persevered and obtained her Doctor of Nursing Practice from Bellarmines Lansing School of Nursing. The Tegart and Willingham Families Blessings of perseverance and Faith in GOD were definitely celebrated during the Spring 2017 Commencement Ceremony. Dr. Tegart's warm smile and joyful expression were present as she, the President of Bellarmine University handed my Wifes Degree to me and I was then Blessed to present it to my Wife followed by a loving hug from Dr. Tegart!
The Willingham Family cherishes, loves and misses you immensely and we know GOD has now directed your steps elsewhere according to HIS Will and PurposeOur continued Prayers of comfort, courage, strength, guidance and steadfastness are with your Family and the future endeavors of their livesMay GOD Bless your Family and you for you have faithfully been a Blessing, an Inspiration and Leader to others

To the families and close friends...
I am extraordinarily saddened by Doris's passing, way too early. Growing up with Doris and Bruce and the Tower family and our many close friends in Leavenworth was the foundational experience of my life. Doris was a wonderful and vivacious person, always a joy. Being in education, I was thrilled when she earned her Ph.D., and even more so when she was Provost and then President at Bellarmine. I could easily see her as an extremely popular Provost and President, as she really had what it takes, as my mother Annabelle you to say.
Doris, we will all miss you. Warmest condolences to our entire clan of close Leavenworth friends and classmates.

Today I was heartbroken and shocked to receive the news of Dr. Tegart's passing.
Caitlin, I don't know if you remember or not, but I was a student of your mom's in the mid 90s while working on my MAT at Bellermine. She was instrumental in getting me the student teaching assignment at St. Francis school Which then led to my teaching there for almost 5 years until my daughter was born. ( I remember you so clearly...that jet black hair just like your mom's! )
Dr. Tegart was such a mentor to me during those years. She lit a spark in me for teaching... one that burns bright even today. Please know what a difference your mom made in my life during my years in Louisville.
You and your entire family are in my prayers.
Much love,
Lauren Green

Dr. Tegart was such a joy and inspiration. I remember one day she came over to Allen Hall and I had the honor of showing her our Service-Learning Clinics in operation! Dr. Tegart was enthralled with the Pediatric Clinic and she even participated in the Parkinson's Let's Dance Class! Dr. Tegart really loved Bellarmine!

Although I did not know Dr. Tegart well, I did greatly admire her kind spirit and the leadership she provided at Bellarmine University. I met her on a few occasions there and her warmth and smile always made me feel welcome. My deepest sympathies to her family. I worked there while she was interim and continue to work there under Dr. Donovan.

My sincere condolence to Joe, Trent, Caitlin and Lachlan. Doris, you are one in a million! I loved being neighbors on Shelby Place, chatting on the steps with wet hair, and introducing you to Joe. What a love you guys have. Much love to your family.
