William George "Bill" Chausse Jr. obituary, Jacksonville, FL

William Chausse Obituary

Bill Chausse Jr., 56, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 21st, 2021. Born in Nashua, NH, a longtime resident of Manchester, NH, and Dracut, MA, he was the loving son of Maryann Chausse of Federal Way, WA; and predeceased by his father William George Chausse Sr.

Bill is survived by his wife, Colleen Chausse; his daughter, Audrey Sienko and her husband, Benjamin of Huntington Beach, CA; his grandson, Jensen Sienko; his son, Brian Chausse of Saint Augustine, FL; and his two sisters Cherrie Ansara and her husband, Peter of Tacoma, WA, and Gayle Ellwood and her husband, David of Nashua, NH.

Bill received a Master's Degree in Social Work from Boston University in 1996, and was a 1992 graduate of Palm Beach Atlantic University with a BA in Human Resource Management. Bill enjoyed a long career of human services, healing many hearts and minds as a spiritual Psychotherapist. His expertise was couple and marriage therapy, and more recently, his focus was counseling veterans. He also volunteered his time mentoring youth as a Big Brother. Bill's ability to connect and make people feel comfortable, no matter if he knew them or not, made an impact that was felt beyond the immediate community.

Bill valued his time with his family, and enjoyed traveling and exploring the national parks. He was a lifelong fan of Boston sports teams, especially the Red Sox. Known to crack a joke, Bill's belly laugh lit up a room as he dealt liberally in humor and heart. He enjoyed music by Bob Dylan, appreciated fine art, jazz music, and a good quality cigar with friends.

Bill dreamed of leaving the cold winters behind, and recently found much joy in Jacksonville, Florida where he basked in the sunshine, biked the beaches, volunteered his time at the local parks, and fulfilled his longtime goal of renovating a home with his son, Brian. Bill found peace in nature and the outdoors. His favorite sayings linger in our hearts… "Life is good", "We have much to be grateful for", "Everything's gonna be alright", and remember "Never pick your nose on a bumpy road!" "Peace Out, -BC"

A memorial service will be held in July 2021 in Hillsborough County, NH.

Watching uncle Billy enter the room was like watching a sunrise. He knew how to light up every room he walked into, and his calm but powerful sense of humor is something I will look up to for the rest of my life. He made it so easy to be his friend and his laughter lit fires in our souls that will never be extinguished. We love you Uncle Billy, and you live forever in our hearts.

Seeing uncle Billy enter the room when he came to visit was like watching a sunrise. He knew how to lighten up the room so that we all smiled when we saw him and he made it so easy to enjoy his presence. His humor and positivity created such an enjoyable atmosphere that it's something we will look up to for the rest of our lives. We love you uncle Billy, and you will survive forever in our hearts.

It's been so many years since I last saw Billy, but I remember his laugh perfectly. If I concentrate I can almost hear it. He had such a comforting presence. In this sad time, imagining the reunion between Bill Jr and Bill Sr fills me with such great hope, and makes me smile.

I remember when Billy was a just a toddler, he was always a very positive, happy-go-lucky kid. It just stood to reason, I think, that he'd eventually get into a profession to help make people a heck of a lot happier and better off than they ever were before. My deepest condolences go out to Maryann, Cherrie, Gayle, as well as all other members of Billy's family during this extremely difficult time of grief and loss. I believe Billy is now with our risen Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and we'll have an opportunity to see him again sometime in the future. Take care, may God Almighty bless you all and comfort your hearts now and forever.

It’s been many years since I’ve seen cousin Billy, but picturing his face I can only picture him with a smile. I have many cherished memories of “the good ol’ days” visiting the family growing up and I know he will be missed by so many. My heart aches for your loss Aunt Maryann, and Gayle and Cherrie, and for his children and new grandchild. I will be praying for your peace and strength to come from the Lord during this time.
With love,
Cousin Lauren

Billy was my older cousin by 9 years. When we got older I enjoyed reminding him of this fact. I am the oldest of 5 siblings, so he was like an older brother. I looked up to him and enjoyed playing basketball with him and visiting him and his family for many years growing up. The memories I have will last more than a lifetime. He was amazing at making people laugh. Even before we arrived for a visit I would start smiling and laughing just knowing how he would be. I don't ever remember him being in a bad mood. He had a way of elevating your spirit and subsequently this became his profession, elevating souls through therapy. Unfortunately his soul left us all too early but his spirit remains. He is still watching, laughing, smiling, and joking from above. It is not goodbye as we shall see him soon. I imagine he is on sabbatical, a vacation in the most beautiful place imaginable, which of course he is. Like Andy Dufresne he is out there awaiting our arrival on a paradisal beach somewhere in eternity. Until we meet again... Love you always Billy your cousin David.

Maryann, Billy was a mommas boy, and we all knew it ! None of us can even imagine what you are feeling. He loved you maybe more than you will ever know. I’m sooo sorry. Just a great kid..yes still a kid to me. Cherrie and Gayle, he loved, respected and was so proud of you both! We are praying for peace and comfort for your broken hearts. Audrey and Bryan. We all know how much he loved you and was so very proud of both of you. He was a great Dad! We are all thinking and praying for both of you especially. A short life Billy, but you accomplished more than most do with much longer lives. Thank you for your care and concern for our Veterans. Rest In Peace Nephewuntil we meet again.

It was so sad to hear that Billy has left us! He was the best brother-in-law that a person could have. Billy has always been an uplifting spirit and those that he touched were enriched in the most positive ways! He was one of the funniest people I knew. He was always down for good humor. He filled the room with his happiness! I remember taking him and his Family to the Hoh Rain Forest and Olympic National Park. I could see that these beauties filled his heart just as other National Parks did like Zion, Arches and Bryce. I know too he was especially fond of Sedona and to hear him speak about these beauties was a treat in itself. Billy, you will be missed but as you congregate with the Angels we will see you soon! We will celebrate your life here on Earth. Rest in Peace Billy.

This seems so unreal. While it has been years, my memories bring a smile. Billy was always so easy to talk to, great laugh and sense of humor, and a humility rarely seen. Hugs and prayers to the family who I know he loved much!
